New Pluralists

Co-Creating a New Story of Pluralism in America

What if a group of philanthropic funders with very different vantage points and core priorities worked together—with pooled resources and shared decision-making—to help Americans face our past, repair the fractures of the present and discover what’s possible when we come together across our differences to see our shared humanity?

Introducing New Pluralists, a $100 million fund dedicated to supporting the growing field of practitioners, storytellers, researchers, and innovators working to address our crisis of division, distrust, dehumanization, and disconnection and foster a culture of pluralism in America.

BBMG partnered with this unique collaborative of funders and field leaders to name and design the brand and website for this emerging movement, and we’re inspired to help meet this challenge and share the journey together.

Many Voices. One Future.
To reflect the distinct voices and perspectives of the funders and field builders, we worked with participants across diverse backgrounds and disciplines to co-create a narrative that could hold the emergent, unfinished work of realizing our nation’s ideals. New Pluralists shares  a new American story to help shift the norms, values, skills, and behaviors that shape the way we see each other and ourselves.

A Symphony of Identities

Our design concept elevates the multitude of voices that shape our society, the importance of listening to one another, and the power and beauty in sharing our individual and collective stories. And the integration of sound design in our website experience allows us to hear the ideas and aspirations of the Field Builders and embody a new way of being, as individuals, as a sector, and as a society. New Pluralists is an early seed of a larger vision for culture change, both within the field of philanthropy and in America.
