Bryan Miller

Finance Director, Globetrotter, Pasta Connoisseur

Bryan’s passion is finding solutions and equipping teams with simple and powerful strategies to make sound financial and operational decisions, with the ultimate goal of generating positive social and economic outputs. He’s spent the last decade uncovering systemic inefficiencies, absorbing different cultural experiences and growing both personally and professionally through his time working on Wall Street, exploring the piazzas of Rome and navigating the bustling streets of Seoul.

Bryan sees a direct relationship between finance and social issues. Not merely because money makes the world go round but because empowerment and sustainability, along with education and the protection of human rights, are currencies in themselves, worth much more than any balance sheet and more valuable than any dividend.

Bryan holds a B.A. from Pace University in New York City and studied at the University of Rome for his MSc. in International Banking and Finance before he discovered the unicorn called BBMG!

If you could only eat one thing for lunch for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I’ve come to appreciate lunches full of pasta while living in Italy but I also can’t forget lunches full of ramen noodles while living in South Korea. I suppose the lowest common denominator is: pasta. I love to cook; pasta is such a versatile ingredient. It leaves me with limitless options.

Do you have any travel rituals?
After making the mistake of arriving at JFK on my way to Spain, sans my passport, I make sure to check that I have my passport at least 10 times before leaving my apartment; everything else I forget can be purchased upon arrival.

One thing about me people probably wouldn’t guess?
I sit on the Board of ICAAD, an international nonprofit focused on structural discrimination issues that negatively impact women and girls.

Any quirky hobbies or interests?
Cooking and trading currencies. Funny enough, they’re both very similar: take your basic economics, add in your favorite indicators, tweak it to your risk appetite and voila; you have something delicious!

What’s your favorite place in the world?
That’s a tough question! It’s not a particular place. It’s a place that welcomes me with curiosity, a smile and food; similar to the way I welcome guests in my home – did you get that I love to cook? Ask nicely..

Describe what you do all day at work in one sentence.
I look for opportunities to grow BBMG culturally and financially, keeping the needs of the Team and our clients front and center, while laughing and feeling blessed to be a part of something bigger than me.
