Social Venture Network

A New Visual Identity for Next-Generation Entrepreneurs

On the eve of its 25th anniversary, with a plan to start reaching out to a more diverse set of next-generation social entrepreneurs, Social Venture Network (SVN) retained BBMG to revamp its brand from the top-down. The look and feel had begun to lag far behind the organization’s bold new vision for promoting social and economic justice.

Ben Cohen. Jeffrey Hollender. Eileen Fisher. Gary Hirschberg. Today’s social innovators stand on their shoulders. And SVN, which has played a catalytic role in sparking so many sustainable brands, can help identify and foster collaboration with the next wave of pioneers. SVN’s story, we realized, is a story of vision, values and courage. It’s an undeniable movement, a community of friends and allies whose goodwill, grit and limitless creativity lead the way to a new day for social enterprise.

After creating new brand pillars and brand architecture, as well as concepting several innovation pathways, we completely reimagined the organization’s visual strategy. The brand symbol is a beacon. A spark. It also refers to the SVN community as a kaleidoscope of different people from different backgrounds with different perspectives—all working together to create positive social change.

“We loved working with the BBMG team. They know their stuff, understood our goals and challenges, asked the right questions, and produced an extremely compelling new brand platform for SVN. Our network has expanded significantly since we collaborated with BBMG. Thank you for your awesome work!”
